Always looking to maximize their performance on the track, Nick Symmonds and his coach, Sam Lapray, tried every product on the market. They loved the performance benefits of caffeine, just hated the way it had to be consumed. During an off-year in 2014, the duo worked with expert formulators, nutritionists, and athletes to create a caffeine-infused chewing gum.
But it was never their intention to create a business.
