Over 1,000 runners have broken the 4-minute mile worldwide, but never outdoors in Alaska. Trying to push the limits of the human body, eight of the elite runners in the US will have to work together as a team as they travel to the last frontier, trying to run the fastest mile ever on Alaskan soil.
In 1954, Roger Bannister became the first human to ever run under four minutes in the mile. Sixty-three laters, the barrier has been broken by over 1,400 runners on tracks all over the world...except in The Last Frontier.
That was until Trevor Dunbar and his father Marcus Dunbar invited eight elite runners to race in two events and experience the wonders, the weather, and the small communities of Alaska.
Having to rely on the camaraderie of one another and the support of the crowd, the runners push through harsh conditions to do something unseen before on Alaskan soil.
