When you think of striving for gold, visions of shiny medals come to mind; but what does “going for gold” symbolize? Gold symbolizes the grand prize, first place, and to be the very best… top of the line. Being founded by a 2x Olympian, we often find themes of our company being built around the idea of striving for gold in the form of excellence at what we do, instead of the top of the podium.
When we strive for gold, we take that to heart; we want to be the best at what we do. The difference is that we’re not trying to win anything, or take home a medal… we want to help you Run The Day the best we can, because we believe that People Matter, and your Performance Matters. We want to be deliberate in our work and our training and strive for excellence in all that we do (you can thank our Chief of Stuff, Nathan Woods for that one).
Anyone can come into our warehouse / office space and take a look around at our close knit team and get it. Our team is made up of a diverse and unique team who come into work every day and give their best. They train themselves to wear multiple hats and become better than they were yesterday! The cool things about that? We do that with YOU in mind first and foremost.
Being a small team, we all wear different hats- whether we are think- tanking the next cool content we’re putting out, to scrambling in the warehouse to get big orders out on time (cue the flashbacks of our Walmart launch….wowza!) we all have a common goal in mind, trying our best to be a winning company in the eyes of our customers.
We slip and fall short of the finish line every now and then, but it never stops us from getting back up and striving for gold once again. How do you strive for gold in your daily life? We’d love to hear it!
