Allow us to introduce ourselves. We have come together to bring you Run Gum and we couldn't be more excited. The Run Gum HQ will be where we share our stories, as well as provide you with insights into our products, our company, and our culture.
One of Run Gum's co-founders, Nick, is a five time USA Champion and a two time Olympian (Beijing, London) in track & field. Though he specializes in mid-distance running, he also has a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from Willamette University (class of 2006) that he puts to use daily as he fuels himself in training to make the 2016 Olympic team. An avid outdoorsman and entrepreneur, Nick is constantly on the run and uses Run Gum to assist him in getting through his busy days. Nick's blog focuses on the biophysical benefits of Run Gum and on the process and thrill of starting a new business.
The second half of Run Gum's co-founding team, Coach Sam Lapray has been involved with the development of USA's most elite middle distance runners for over a decade. With a bachelor of science degree in communications with a business focus from Willamette University (class of 1987) as well as a long career as a real estate developer, Sam, brings with him much needed wisdom and experience to the Run Gum team. Sam is also an outstanding husband to his wife Amie and the proud father of five children. Coach Sam's blog focuses on how Run Gum has helped him get back into shape and power through his long days.

An avid stand-up paddle boarder, Nathan epitomizes the Run Gum way of life. He is married to his beautiful wife Cecilia and the two are expecting their first child this November. John was an NCAA stand out runner while at Indiana University where he earned a bachelors of science degree in environmental affairs. As a former professional runner and Division I coach, he understands better than anyone how important proper fueling is to a great run. However, it is for his incredible talent behind the lens of a camera that John is most well known. You can find his wonderfully artistic images throughout our website and on social media @rungum. John's blog focuses on running culture and chronicling the Run Gum lifestyle.
