#RunUSA Week Recap

A phenomenal week of supporting athletes came to a close with Symmonds inspiring race.

Our co-founder, Nick Symmonds, capped off what was an epic week with an incredible race that Coach Sam says is his, "FAVORITE RACE EVER!!!"

His 800m victory gave him his 6th U.S. Championship and the opportunity he was hoping for – flexing his Run Gum tattoos.

Nick Symmonds wins the 800m at 2015 USA Track and Field Championships and Flashes Run Gum Tattoos

Sunday also featured the two #RunUSA athletes that took home the $2,500 bonus for placing the highest in their respected events.  It started the morning with Race Walker Nick Christie placing second, followed by Liz Patterson coming up with a huge 3rd attempt to also come in 2nd place in the women's High Jump. They will split the bonus and couldn't be more stoked that they are part of what we are doing.

Our brand was all over Hayward Field, all over social media and even the national coverage on NBC. The 20 athletes competed hard on the track, pole vault, high jump, triple jump, and even the road. Our 8 1/2 month old company made a splash and we are very humbled with the opportunity we had to be part of the athletes' lives.

The highlight was joining the majority of them together Sunday night at the Run Gum After Party at Hop Valley Brewing and getting the opportunity to spend time with these quality people off the track. Our athletes are sons and daughters, some are spouses, and even parents. They are all much more than just athletes and as we grow our focus will always be on the individual. Our hope is that we can make their goals become reality and their passions ignited long into the future.
